- The Open Knowledge Foundation Ireland are organizing a book sprint to create an open source and free to use textbook for schools that will help kids get coding and computing. A Dublin Hackathon is also being organised supported by Dublinked and Fingal Open Data, one of the projects they will be working on is tidying up the Higher education statistics for Republic of Ireland
- In the US the Open New York Forum’s Open Data Day will take the form of three tracks, one of which is Planning the future of NYC’s Internet access, Education Policy, Open Government, and Technology Industry Policy via the NY Tech Meetup. At North Carolina State University Triangle2014 also focuses on three issues: Open data education; hacking for civic good and uniting the triangle through data.
- At the Kathmandu2013 Hackathon “Tracing Foreign Aid to Nepal, how much aid is going to Education sector?” has been suggested as one of the problem statements
- In Bandung, Indonesia the World Bank Indonesia will hold a one-day workshop of open data for development in the Bandung Institute of Technology. Education will be one of the themes of the Open Data Idea Challenge.
